The Commission

On July 4, 2026, families and communities across America will join together to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's independence. From fireworks and parades to meaningful commemorations, preparations are already underway at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure this milestone is honored with pride and joy.

Our Mission

Chester County America250 (CC250) brings people together to honor the past, celebrate our communities today, and inspire the next 250 years.

What We Value

Through events, education, and partnerships, CC250:

  • Community — Every voice and story matters.
  • Education — Inspiring learning across generations.
  • Heritage — Honoring history while looking to the future.
  • Collaboration — Working together to strengthen Chester County

What We Do

  • Honor the courage of our founders, freedom seekers, veterans, and everyday citizens.
  • Create programs that spark pride, learning, and volunteerism.
  • Promote tourism and celebrate our historic sites.
  • Build a legacy of civic engagement and community spirit for generations to come.

How We Work

Our work is carried out by seven committees, each focused on a key area of the 250th celebration. Together, they create a collaborative foundation that connects history, education, partnerships, and community engagement.
